Northwest PeaceJammers made a video during one of the SLAM 2010 workshops to express what PeaceJam is to them.

Okay, so while I think this video is a *tad* cheesy, I think there are some great parts which highlight what PeaceJam means to the participants. Part of our Slam was about finding creative ways to cultivate peace within yourself -- and also, finding creative ways to inspire social change in communities. This video was kind of like a merger between the two. And everyone, please note Alan's smiling and ultra cheesy (but endearing) face at the end. Hehe.

I was just honored they would invite me to be a part of their project, especially since I headed out to gather them up because they were late for the next event. Pretty tricky of them, or course, to get more time for what they were working on, by having me join them.

Yes very tricky...I guess it's good that the students emphasized the fun part because that is what other young people are looking for too.

I'm pretty impressed that the high-schooler on the left has such a full beard and looks about 30.

This is beautiful Alan and Chanti! And yes, to the FUN part too. Fun is one of our group norms that my PeaceJammers put down. And the way they defined fun, was being appropriate and not taking something to the extreme so that it would have repercussions and compromise the fun they could have! :)
