For those of us who did just visit some of these schools in Memphis last week, here is a great news clip of some Memphis PeaceJammers and a project they did last year! Yeyyyyyyyyyy so our Memphis PeaceJammers. By the way having just gone to Lester and the other schools in Memphis this piece is very helpful.

This is a really interesting video to see, especially, becuase I worked at Brewster for my service project, but saw Lester when we dropped another group off and it was definately a noticable difference in the school, however I would say that Lester had the Mural project in their cafeteria and so the school community is definately trying to make the envrionment more friendly and community driven. But very interesting after having seen both schools. I would love to know what they have done since then and what the results of their council meetings have been.

The differences in schools is so striking--i just don't understand why in the world we can't rally to get equal resources to all schools so that all students have the same opportunities for learning.

I wish more schools would incorporate arts into their physical school structures! Even the awesome schools that are being updated with the world's best technology are not incorporating the creative arts into their campus.

Great job representing Memphis PeaceJammers!
