 I just heard on NPR today that Obama has extended the embargo against Cuba for another year as it is in the "best interests" of the US. Apparently D.C. is still sticking to its lame excuse that we can't do business with Cuba because of its communist government despite the fact that we have no problem whatsoever doing business with so many other communist, authoritarian, and what some people might describe as being "terrorist" governments. With that said.....
The embargo against Cuba is one of the most idiotic and outdated foreign policies of the US and has been held on to for wayyyy too long...For Obama to extend this embargo shows the clear need in this country to raise awareness and to help change the legislation. This is a great idea and I wish you the best in your efforts!! |
