Weekly peace marches
Breaking the Cycle of Violence
Affiliate:Pacific Northwest
Location:Portland, United States of America

Project Goal: Peace Marches to create awareness about Peace and denouncing war.

Root Cause: cycle of violence, US occupation of Iraq, corporate greed and political irresponsibility.

Project Plan: youth organized and youth led weekly peace marches. Since January 2007 we had led peace marches every Sunday. We reach out to youth and adults to march with us. We have also worked with other organizations to teach about peace. We helped with an Iraq teach-in at our school and helped develop and staff the youth tent at Portland's big peace march.
