Project Goal: To provide water to villages in Sudan.
Root Cause: That in some villages in Sudan, the women have to walk miles to get to a well that many diffent villages share.
Project Plan: We talked with Dang, a sudanese man who had entered the United States as a refugee. He had founded an organization called Clean Water and Clinics Foundation. this foundation goes to Sudan and builds wells for the people. Another thing that the foundation does is to train the people of the village how to maintain and fix the well, so that the well will be around for a long time. |
