Project Goal: To help shade Corvallis Streets, improve bird habitat, reduce our carbon and water footprints, and make Corvallis a better place to live.
Root Cause: Environmental neglect/Lack of awareness about ecological issues.
Project Plan: There will be two tree planting sessions offered -- we hope to not only give youth the opportunity to learn practical skills (tree planting techniques -- a good skill to have!), but also to be actively engaged in their communities, and foster greater awareness about problems/solutions in their own communities. |
