Project Goal: We plan to raise awareness of the violence in Afghanistan and ultimately help in stopping the war. The Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers are pleading to have the US remove their troops to stop the killing. Using social media, we will continue to support their voices to end the war, find a non-violent solution to the violence occurring and spread the message of peace and justice for all.
Root Cause: Human rights are being violated because of greed, misunderstanding and misuse of power.
Project Plan: The Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers desperately need to hear that we are in support of a nonviolent solution to the war in Afghanistan. They are losing loved ones and clinging to hope that we hear their pleas for peace. We will help others learn about them through the links below, help them to get signatures for their petition and pass the word to friends (Facebook, email, etc.).
