What specific problem does this project address? Our specific problem we are trying to address is the negative outlook that the rest of the country has had on the state of Wyoming since the tragic event that changed Laramie eleven years ago. We are also addressing the level of acceptance in our school for the LGBTIQ commuity and trying to increase the level of awareness, accepting, and understanding in our school.
How will this project remain ongoing? We would love to see this project become an annual event in our school during the standardized testing workshops.
How is this project going to make a difference? Our project will only touch a small portion of the school and may be considered to be "preaching to the choir" but I believe that Judy Shepard said it best, "Sometimes even the choir needs practice".
