Project Goal: We would like to create a program that lasts in the community even after we are not running it full time. This give children who are young with disabilities a chance to become a part of Special Olympics, and the great experiences that come with it.

Root Cause: Young children with developmental delays have to wait until they are 8 years old to begin participating in the Special Olmpics. We decided it was wrong to deny these children time to play, develop motor skills, and interact socially during this crucial time period in their lives.

Project Plan: We began by getting a toy donation from Matel toys. The Skidmore College lets us use their gym to host the program. Each one of us teenagers pairs up with a young athlete and plays and works with them on the equipment. After 2 years of running the program the number of people, toys, and volunteers grows every week we run it.
