| What research was done for this project? After the two earthquakes hit Haiti, there was a shortage of water, which was increasing the violence due to people’s desperation. |

| How was this project decided upon? A rock concert: Rock for Peace. We decided on the rock concert through consensus building and because concerts are fun! |

| How is this project going to make a difference? We learned that service projects were not easy to organize but that people in the community want to help others. The project gave us the chance to work with people we wouldn’t normally work with. In the end, 13 bands showed up to Rock for Peace! We charged $5 admission, and we made $460! Our Student Government decided to match the funds, so we were able to send $920 to the Red Cross for Haiti! |
