Project Masulita
Rights for Women and Children, and their Role as Leaders
Location:Stony Plain, Canada
Created:2/14/2010
Last Update:3/9/2010
Project Goal: We plan to partner with a school in Whitecourt; they are building a school in Kenya; we will be sponsoring a 19 year old diabled and orphaned girl named Ruthie. We will be getting to know her and supporting her education.

Root Cause: poverty

Project Plan: We will host an assembly to bring Ruthie's wishes to the attention of our school. We will present what the Whitecourt School is doing and propose that we support them with our specific goal. We will fundraise at least $1.00 a day to pay for Ruthie's education and living expenses. Two of these fundraising events will be the selling of wrist bands, and Hats On For Ruthie Day.
