Affiliate:West Africa
Location:Mataheko, Ghana
Created:6/6/2009
Last Update:8/16/2009
Project Goal: To Educate 800 people including Students and community members at Mataheko about the Rights of women and children.

Root Cause: Ignorance and some socio-cultural practices have over the years, encouraged women and children's relegation to insignificant members of the family. In such situation, children tend to be left to learn more from the media, peers and other colleagues who equally need guidance from adults. There is also notion of Women inferiority, general low level of female education and the burden of women's multiple roles indermine women's participation at all levels.

Project Plan: To sensitized School Children, Parents, Teachers, and Community Leaders to realize that there Rights of Women and Children. We educate the public and organize an Education forum where we invite all to come and Share, Learn from each other, and take Action.
