Peace@East Open Mic.
Ending Racism and Hate
Affiliate:Mid-south

Project Goal: Peace@East wanted to create an outlet where students could come together and share or express their thoughts, feelings and stories through various formats. Spoken word, story-telling, music and dance are all ways in which this can be done.

Root Cause: By creating this space, PeaceJammers were able to reflect on the issues of Racism & Hate, the Cycle of Violence and Social Justice and Human Rights.

Project Plan: We would like to make our open mic. an event that occurs at least twice each school year. Since this is our first project, we want to spread the word about the PeaceJam Organization so that we can generate more interest within our school.
