Project Goal: Our mission is to clean up one of our local beaches. It is also to show the beach attendees that they are polluting their beach, and how we can work, by doing the little things right, to improve the natural inviornment surrounding the beach. We hope to help the wildlife that lives their by cleaning up, to increase their durration of life, as well as make the beach more pleasant for the poeple that visit.
Root Cause: The overall problem is that, people who visit our local beaches dont realize that while they are having a good time at the beach, they are hurting it at the same time. Examples of this are ,pollution by way of litering, as well as feces from both humans and animals.
Project Plan: We plan to get a team of about twenty to thirty members, to make signs of wood that we can plant in the ground in order to notify the beach visitors of the issue and how they can make a difference by doing simple tasks, such as throwing away trash. Afterwords, we intend to then survey the beach for any liter that we may be able to dispose of properly. This way the beach will start off clean, and hopefully stay clean. |
