| What specific problem does this project address? Extreme poverty must be dealt with on an individual level by raising awareness. When the public doesn't know the struggles of extreme poverty, they can do nothing about it. |

| What research was done for this project? Our research invloved a look at the Tallahassee/North Florida Region. Through this, we found that poverty is a serious issue in Florida. From there, we researched more about local poverty and decided that an awareness campaign would be the best possible solution to combat poverty. |

| How was this project decided upon? We decided on this specific project because, although it is important to think globally, you must act first on a local level and work up. Not wanting to tackle a problem to far over our heads, we decided to work with the Empty Bowls foundation to start an awareness compaign. |

| How will this project remain ongoing? Our plan is, after our initial event, to spread the event to many other churches and organizations within Leon County, and eventually across the state. These events will be held over a long period of time and the funds raised will be donated to multiple organizations, homeless shelters, and anti-poverty associations. |

| How is this project going to make a difference? In order to fix the problems of poverty, we must begin at the root cause, on a small scale, and eventuallt work our way to the top. Out of all of these events and awareness campaigns, we hope to influence the legislatures of the state government of Florida, and to create a more mindful public, to take action to care for those who are in poverty, and to work to alleviate poverty entirely. |
