Project Goal: To educate Spanish immersion students in grades 1 - 3 about non-violence and how to resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner.

Root Cause: The violence that has permeated our culture through media and everyday life.

Project Plan: We are writing children's books in Spanish that address common conflicts to which young children may be exposed at school, at home or through media. Our books will explain how these conflicts can be resolved without violence. We will then convert our stories into pop-up books with help from the Minnesota Association for Book Arts which we will then read to children enrolled in Spanish immersion schools in our community. We will then donate the books to the schools' libraries.
