Project Goal: To give equal access to water for local slum dwellers

Root Cause: Due to contamination, privatization, and climate change, over 4 billion people will be affected by water shortages and lack of clean drinking water by 2050.

Project Plan: We mapped the flow of drinking water from its source to lower Dharamsala – took notes and pictures of pipes and conditions around them. We talked to government officials in Himachal. Pradesh and city of Dharamsala and to local people using the water. We conducted water testing at various points along the route. We checked a Tibetan hospital for counts of water born diseases and diarrhea.
