CELCscience of Water Event to Benefit LifeStraw
Equal Access to Water and Other Natural Resources
What specific problem does this project address? This project addresses the issue of having clean drinking water available easily and affordably to people throughout the world. Fr just $2.00, a person can have a LifeStraw filter which can filter water for an individual for one year.
What research was done for this project? We were presented with this issue by a nine year old boy who wanted us to take this on as one of our Global Call to Action Projects and CELC students felt this was a very worthwhile cause and that it would be a good way to solve a large issue.
How was this project decided upon? Students wanted to contribute to LifeStraw after hearing about this organization from a presentation given to our group.
How will this project remain ongoing? We are not sure about our next event as of yet, but will continue to take part in supporting this organization and cause.
How is this project going to make a difference? This can provide filters for more people in need.
