A Day in Rags
Eliminating Extreme Poverty
What specific problem does this project address? We will be addressing homelessness and the myths around the homeless.
What research was done for this project? We have researched different stories of how many people overcame homelessness and their life on the streets. We collected graphs showing the growing trend of homelessness in our southern community-- as many homeless come south to escape colder weather-- showing not only the increase in our community alone but an increase in the nations.
How was this project decided upon? We have worked with the homeless shelter in our community before-- gathering personal hygiene necesities.
How will this project remain ongoing? We hope to make a film that will last for many years, spreading throughout the internet and increasing awareness in not only our community but other communities as well. Our film will be played during a Soup Kitchen Auction where another group will be selling soup bowls to raise money for our local shelter.
How is this project going to make a difference? We hope that our project will lessen the segregating aura that surrounds homelessness people, if not change someones perspective on homelessness.
