Project Goal: Despite the differences between Cuban and United States Government, we need to keep peace with Cuban People.
Root Cause: Because Cuba refused to comply with unfair demands by the US government that the Cuban government conduct its affairs in a certain way, the US government decided to punish the Cuban people by instituting an embargo of goods and services, thereby denying citizens of both countries the opportunity to benefit from peaceful relations.
Project Plan: We've launched a website at www.peacewithcuba.com to raise awareness and help change legislation in the US. Our church will apply for a travel license to visit our partner church in Santa Clara, Cuba. We will take pharmaceuticals and other goods to our Cuban sisters and brothers, whatever we can share legally. |
