Greetings PeaceJam! I was the AmeriCorps*VISTA for PeaceJam’s Northeast region for the 2009-2010 year and I'm back for 2010-2011! Originally from Santa Fe, NM and Southern Colorado I have been involved in PeaceJam since early high school where I began attending the conferences as a participant. The first Nobel Peace Laureate whom I had the privilege of meeting was the awesome Jody Williams. In college, I continued working with PeaceJam as a mentor in the Northeast affiliate and additionally as a summer intern at PeaceJam Headquarters in Arvada, CO both of which were outstanding experiences! I love working with people of all ages and am a strong believer in sharing stories as a form of community development and connecting diverse groups of people. Thus, in the coming year, I look forward to connecting with all you PeaceJammers out there, hearing your stories, and learning about what you’re doing for societal transformation.
