I recently got to travel to Guatemala as a volunteer photographer for a program created by my alma mater, St. John's University. Here are a slew of photos from that trip.

The Black Christ is named so because, after being carved out of wood, it supposedly turned black. It is also the sight of two known miracles: the sighting of a vision of Christ by a large group of natives, and the curing of a bishop's chronic illness after he visited the site.
