We are very excited to welcome you to our brand spanking new site! We've taken PeaceJam to the next level and we are excited for you to join in on the fun.

After 6 months and 100's of hours of work, we are launching a new site which gives everyone the power to participate in PeaceJam and take action, without having to even leave their homes! You can now register and join GCA Projects, share your photos and videos in the new PeaceJam Gallery, and much more!

What's the coolest and most important part of this new website? The Message Boards are, because for the first time ever you can connect, chat, catch up, brainstorm, and just have fun with everyone in the PeaceJam universe! How cool is that? Extremely cool. That's how. So go introduce yourself and get started!

You'll also notice that the front page is completely dynamic. Every time you make a post, add or update a project, write a blog, create an event, etc, the front page gets updated. This means that the front page is highlighting what you do. This site is all about the users and will be as cool as you make it.

THANK YOU STEVE!

Now it's time to acknowledge the man behind the masterpiece you're seeing here today. 8 months ago I contacted a friend of mine and asked if he'd be willing to do some free site work and help update the PeaceJam website. It was supposed to be a minor face lift. He agreed cause he's way too nice and far too generous. As we got working on it, the project developed and that generous spirit of his kept on giving as new ideas continued popping up.

What was supposed to be a minor face lift became a complete redesign that would normally cost at least $500,000 (and probably a lot closer to $1,000,000) and be built by a team of people. He did it for free and all by himself. To get an idea of how much work this was, just the events section alone has over 10,000 lines of code. And there's a lot of big sections like events.

He has put in 50 hrs a week for the last 3 weeks, on top of his full time job as an engineer. He hasn't slept very much and has sacrificed pretty much all of his personal time so that he could give something to us. I've talked to a few web designers and none of them can believe that anyone would build this site for free. But Steve did. He really has gone above and beyond with his generosity. I'm forever grateful and indebted to him, and I hope you will all join me in saying, "STEVE YOU ROCK! THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

On that note, please go create an account, log in and get started! If you have questions please post them on the Message Boards. You will also find guides on how to use the site in both General Chat and PeaceJam Chat so check those both out!

Never used a Message Board before and feeling totally confused? Read the guide here.

Thank you Steve. This is so huge what you have done for PeaceJam. This is something PeaceJam always needed but never had the resource to pay someone to do it and you have done it all for free. So many people are going to get involved, inspired and create positive changes in their community because of the resources we have provided here and so thank you so much for tying all the end loose together and building this "Super Rocking" site. You had probably taken lot of bashing and complaints from your gf and your friends because of the time this website consumed. So we thank you for all the sacrifices you have made but the result is totally worth it and this is the beginning. So many good things are going to come out of it.

You have worked very hard and we thank you for it!

:)
