The Dalai Lama Offers Condolences to People of Norway

His Holiness The Dalai Lama has offered condolences to the people of Norway following an attack on a youth camp in Oslo where approximately 85 people died and a bomb blast hit several government buildings killing 8, according to reports by the BBC.

"Dalai Lama has offered condolences to the victims of Norway violence. For the same he wrote a letter to Prime Minister of Norway, H E Jens Stoltenberg on July 23, 2011.In his letter, the Tibetan spiritual leader has expressed his sadness and shock at the tragedy that has befallen Norway," reports The Times of India.

The violent attacks were allegedly committed by a right-wing extremist named Anders Behring Breivik, who is now in custody.
