 Scott M here, the affiliate director for Heartland Region PeaceJam.
When you join, please post a little information about yourself, like which Nobel Laureates you have met.
For example, I met Jody Williams in April of 2007 and Rigoberta Menchu Tum in November of 2007, and several others (but that was in another region).

 I met Scott Miniea in Missouri and that's just as good as meeting a Laureate!

 Hi, I'm Jasmin M, one of two VISTAs for the Heartland region for the year. Some things about me: I drink entirely too much coffee, talk too fast and quiet, and miss having a cat. I feel that I'm acclimating well to my new home in St. Louis.
I haven't met any Peace Laureates to date, but I am super excited about the November 2009 conference with Betty Williams and am hopeful for a Betty interaction. |

Welcome to Jessica, Maddie, and Amy! How was the mentor training?
I hope you're ready, because we have a great conference in the works, and you guys are key to making it happen!
Betty is very excited to come and meet you all.
And if you know anyone who couldn't mentor but might have an interest in attending the conference (be sure to ask about how that works)! We'd love to pack the house!
