While you cannot use HTML on the site, you can use BBCode to format your messages on here on the boards, in your blogs, or in Newsblog posts. BBCode allows you to do simple things like bolding, italics and underlining to fancier stuff like adding links and more.

Below I am posting a short guide on how to use BBCode and what our Message Board accepts. You can read a more in depth guide here or check a nice quick list of BBCode here. Beware that not all code listed in those guides will work on our site, so check below for a full list of what does work.

How to Use PeaceJam Message Board BBCode
To make things easier we have added a row of buttons at the top of the posting box which you can use to quickly generate code. If you click these buttons a box will drop down where you can enter the text you want to format. Once you hit "Go" that text will appear at the bottom of your post. You can then copy/paste it to any point in the post that you want.

The buttons allow you to bold, italicize, underline, quote, post images and post links. But there is more you can do than that, and below I will list all codes that our Message Boards use. When you actually use the code, replace the parenthesis with brackets... brackets are these guys: [ ].

Bold - (b)text here(/b)

Italics - (i)text here(/i)

Underline - (u)text here(u)

~~Strike through~~ - (s)text here(s)

Quoted Text - (quote)text here(/quote)

Centered Text - (center)text here(/center)

An Image - (img)Image URL here(/img)

A resized image - (img=450)Image URL here(/img)

A Clickable URL - (url)Address here(/url)

A Linked word - (url=address here)Click here(/url)

A YouTube Video - (youtube)video URL(/youtube)
