 As a first year student at FSU, I am happy to have heard about PeaceJam. I feel like it really is a program that can make a change through education and students' passion to start projects which benefit the world.
The reason why PeaceJam is so important to me is education, without knowing about the world outside of our own, development of ideas is scarce. PeaceJam can become the inspiration that someone - for example a high school student - needs to make a real change. Most importantly a positive, sustainable, change.
Lastly, I can't even express in words how excited I am to have the opportunity to see students meet Rigoberta Menchu Tum thanks to PeaceJam. After giving Spanish orals in high school about Rigoberta Menchu, I can't wait to see everyone learn more about her call to action and learn great things from her. I know I will also learn a great deal more. |
