 When I first heard about PeaceJam, I immediately knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. My first experience with PJ was at the Southeast Slam and since then I haven't looked back. The Slam was my first chance to be a mentor and I learned so much from the young participants as well as the ins and outs of the PeaceJam organization. Since that time I have been afforded the opportunity to mentor at Fairview Middle School, where the PeaceJam curriculum is spread even further. Being a mentor at the Slam and at Fairview have been great experiences and I hope to have an even better one at the conference! |
