 No More Styrofoam in Jefferson County School District

Project Leader: Dawn A
Location: Arvada, United States of America
Project Goal: Our goal is to rid the use of Styrofoam in the Jefferson County School District cafeterias.
Project Cause: The environmental degradation caused by Styrofoam.
Project Plan: Interview a school district food services manager. Tour the Waste Management recycling plant. Research Styrofoam and it's environmental impacts. Research different options than Styrofoam. Create a presentation and present to students, faculty and staff, parents, the school board and volunteers.

 We will not be talking to the school board because the great news is that Jeffco has gone to using reuseable trays in EVERY elementary. I tell the kids that they decided to change because they knew that KIDS were on to them, and they didn't want to have to change because kids were uncovering their bad environmental practices. :) |
