PeaceJam BotMalaria awarness project

Project Created: Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Project Leader: Ryan A

Location: Providence, United States

Project Goal: We hope to raise money for Malaria No More to help them provide medical assistance to those with malaria and to help them with the distribution and purchasing of bed nets. We hope to learn what else we can do to help in this fight against malaria. We also would like to learn of more ways to spread the word.

Project Cause: Malaria is a disease that stems from a parasite that can be found in a female Anopheles mosquito. This disease is transferred when the mosquito bites someone with the malaria parasite and then bites you.

Project Plan: we are making T-shirts right now so that we can sell them for $10 apiece. This will do two things. One being it will help us raise money to send to the Malaria no More organization and two, when people wear the t-shirts they will be helping us in spreading the word about malaria and the help Africa needs.

Kate CHello Ryan
Tell us a bit more about your project. Where in Africa are you focusing? What organizations are you partnering with in Africa. This sounds like a project that other PeaceJam groups would also be interested in supporting!
