I attended the drive a couple weeks ago and I definitely developed an interest in what PeaceJam was all about. Last week, I started as an in schools volunteer at Boys and Girls Club and I can't think of a better way than promoting peace among youth then being able to be apart of the conference as a mentor as well. After last week, I saw first hand how there's so much hope in the youth. They are intelligent, eager to learn and grow, and most of all I feel like they can become peaceful leaders in the world. I'm incredibly excited and would love to become a mentor! :) |

Danica, I'm glad that you were just as inspired as I was! Your volunteer work is definitely a good way to start, and you're right about reaching out to our younger generation because they are our future. We need people like you to help influence others that being peaceful, is the "cool" thing to do! Definitely continue to be a leader and maybe one day you'll find a particular cause that you're extra passionate about that you'll set up a project for that helps make a difference. If not, continue to be amazing, kind, and spread the peace! |
