 Commodities Drive for SAFE

Project Goal: Our goal with this project is to collect commodities for our local SAFE house, a place where victims of abuse can go to escape an abusive situation and begin their new lives.
Project Cause: The root of the problem we are addressing is the lack of provisions for the SAFE house in addition to the lack of funding.
Project Plan: Our project plan was to contact all the churches in our town and ask them for permission to put a collection box with a list (in Spanish and English) of the items that we will be collecting. We also asked for, and received, a donation from our local Bath and Body Works. Then we applied for, and received, a grant from Wal Mart to go and buy more products for the SAFE house. After the end of a month, we collected all of the itmes in the boxes and gave the churches a thank you card for their cooperation.
