Beyond Volunteering

Project Leader: hollyp
Location: Kansas City
Project Goal: Our goals are to feed the hungry and to clean pollution from our streams in order to support our aquatic life.
Project Cause: Lack of food coming into the city recession coming to the country no jobs or money to buy food water becoming polluted and people throwing trash into it
Project Plan: The plan was to join the Missouri Stream Team and work to keep our streams clean. We also contacted and worked with Harvesters on packaging backpack snacks.

This GCA project was presented to Betty Williams last month by one of Heartland's longest standing PJ groups: Hickman Mills School District's CODE Program in Kansas City. |
