Have you been working to change the world? Now is your chance to inspire others by telling them about your project. Enter the Global Call to Action Challenge. Not only will you help build the movement, but you might win the chance to work with a Nobel Peace Laureate!
To enter the GCA Challenge, you must create ONE of these:- a short video
- a magazine-style article
- a PowerPoint presentation
Whatever method you choose, we want you to tell us about your project in a way that will make people want to join in the Global Call To Action movement for real change.
Win a Visit From Rigoberta Menchú Tum
The Challenge Grand Prize winner will be visited by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum! She will meet with your project team and discuss the work you have been doing. Then three of your team members and an adult will accompany Rigoberta Menchú Tum to the PeaceJam Annual Awards Luncheon in Denver, Colorado on November 18, 2009.
In addition to the Grand Prize winner, our judges will pick winners in each category. There will also be GCA Member Awards, voted on by Global Call to Action Members. Prizes for those awards will be announced later. All the winning entries will be featured on the PJ.org website and will be shown at PeaceJam Youth Conferences throughout the world.
All entries must be submitted by June 30, 2009.
GCA members can vote for their favorites beginning July 3.
The winners will be announced in November 2009.
This is your chance to help build the movement for change beyond your own community. Can you move others to take part in making our world a better place? That’s the Global Call to Action Challenge.
