PEACEJAM SLAM
Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Florida State University
• Kick off the PeaceJam year with a celebration! • Meet fellow PeaceJammers from all over the Southeast. • Find out which Nobel Peace Laureate will attend our Conference APRIL 2-3, 2011. • Learn about PeaceJam and the Global Call to Action. • Be inspired to BE THE CHANGE in your school and community. • Advisors will receive the 2010-2011 PeaceJam curriculum and training. • The afternoon event for this year’s PeaceJam Slam will be a Walkathon in support of Invisible Children. During the Slam you will learn about this amazing grassroots organization. Southeast PeaceJam has partnered with Godby High School and FSU’s Invisible Children organization to present this Step Up for Uganda Walkathon. It will be an eye-opening opportunity for both new and experienced PeaceJammers to witness the possibility and impact of a Global Call to Action project! The fee for the 2010 PeaceJam Slam will be $15.00 per person. Lunch and snacks are included. If your school does not have a Walkathon Team, there is also a required $5.00 donation to Invisible Children. (See Walkathon information.)
