Engaging a team of 28 AmeriCorps VISTA Members to build the capacity of PeaceJam programming in 15 sites across the nation through the second year of PeaceJam’s bold ‘Poverty to Peace’ Initiative. Hosting 14 transformative Youth Conferences with Nobel Peace Prize Winners, engaged over 14,000 youth in year-round programs around the world, and added several thousands GCA projects to our goal of ONE BILLION Global Call to Action projects completed by the year 2018. Awarding the first Global Call to Action Challenge Award, recognizing PeaceJam youth from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado for their GCA project that established a recycling program and saved their school over $60,000 through energy efficiency initiatives!
