Stonehill International School is an International Baccalaureate school in Bangalore, India. Participants include middle school students as well as other faculty. Our students have been slowly learning about Peace Jam since last fall and are currently (June 1) planning their first Global Call to Action project here in India. Our students come from a variety of home countries: U.S., Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Belgium, Australia as well as India. |

Welcome to the Stonehill International School Peace Jam Club! The MYP students have been learning about Peace Jam this academic year and are impressively eager to move forward on a project of their own.
I'm the technology teacher and Peace Jam grew out of our class units. Our students are from all over the world and I am from the US. We're fortunate to have two incredible teachers from Bangalore, India working with us: Jyoti Thyagarajan and Shibani Rao. They are invaluable in helping us learn and be sensitive to the needs and cultural aspects of our community.
Last week Shibani and Jyoti led us on a bus tour of several nearby villages where the students looked carefully and came back with good concerns and insights. This week we hope to visit a few more villages. |
