Foster Elementary implements the PeaceJam Juniors curriculum school wide K-6th grade. Each class participates in learning about one of the Laureates, reading and studying their life stories, and creating a service project. The school is also home to the PeaceJam Leadership Squad made up of 3rd-6th graders who have a desire and passion to positively impact the world. |

The Foster Elementary PeaceJam Leadership Squad has been working on eliminating Styrofoam throughout the Jefferson County Public School District - no small feat! The students worked diligently researching Styrofoam and its effects on the earth (never biodegrades!), examining the cost-effectiveness of different options, creating a 20 minute presentation and presenting it over 15 times to adults and students, and having a amazing time doing it all! |
