I'm from Bradford, UK, which coincedentelly has the university which is host to the annuall peacejam UK conference.

This year was no exception. I think I speak for everyone when I say we had an immense time.We were very fortunate to have President of East Timor (North of Australia, (SE Asia))and 1996 Nobel Peace Prize winner laureatte. He was very funny for a president and also very down to earth.

Throughout the two days experience there was alot chances to make new friends from different cultures, religions and from different corners in the world to see what their thoughts and
opinions are on how we can resolve world issues such as extreme poverty, domestic abuse and oppressive regimes.

Sounds like a wonderful time! Connecting with people from different cultures is such a rewarding experience and to connect by talking about such powerful issues is how we will make this world a better place.
