PeaceJam Slam Southeast!!

Hey Everyone!
I decided to blog about my experience at PeaceJam Slam yesterday. It was such a great experience and I was truely amazed at the students that were committed to making a change in the world. These were kids that served as an inspiration to me to continue on my mission to promote positive change. My family group was awesome and I feel as though throughout the day, we all connected as a single unit. My mission of being a mentor was to provide guidance to the students in my group about PeaceJam and to be as fun & energetic as I could while doing so. Being a mentor ended up being very rewarding in the sense that at the end of the day the kids in my group wrote that I was fun and had made them feel as though they were part of a family, my mission was accomplished. :)

...I hope that I get selected to be a mentor at the conference in the spring! I'm so excited for the laureate who's coming!!! She's awesome!...
