Documentaries: Soweto Uprising and Debt of Dictators
Posted 12/4/2010 at 11:36 AM by Kayla P
I just watched these two documentaries for my African History class and wanted to share them. They are both very sad, but also incredibly informative and interesting. They are somewhat long, but even if you just watch the first fifteen minutes of each, a lot can be learned. The first is about the Soweto Uprising in South Africa that occurred as a response to the Apartheid, and the second is about how the debt of dictators keeps people impoverished. Also, Desmond Tutu is in the first, and Adolfo Perez is briefly mentioned in the second.
