South Africa Trip! |

This album includes photos from my trip to South Africa in summer 2009 where I completed a volunteer project for 6 weeks. I worked at a skills development center teaching children and adults with learning disabilities math and English. I also worked at a home based care organization for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, so I had the opportunity to speak with hospital social workers and nurses, visit community clinics and hospitals, and visit patients and their families in their homes. I also volunteered after work with a sports outreach program. This was a great experience because I was able to play sports with the children in my community! |
