The PeaceJam Foundation has an Affiliate system for delivering the PeaceJam program across the United States and the world. Affiliates represent large multi-state regions and Chapters represent smaller geographic areas – usually within an Affiliate Region. Areas with multiple PeaceJam programs or clubs and interest in expanding can apply to become a PeaceJam Chapter. Chapters range in size from 1-2 counties to an entire state. A PeaceJam Chapter is an official entity of the PeaceJam Foundation and works directly with their regional Affiliate. Chapters will:- Sign a Chapter Agreement and pay annual $5,000 Chapter Fee.
- Secure a 501-c3 non-profit organization or education institution to host Chapter.
- Raise budget for local programming and operating of the Chapter (approximately $50,000).
- Hire/appoint a Chapter Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the Chapter.
- Convene a regional Leadership Team to support the Chapter.
- Host regional trainings for PeaceJam Curricular programs.
- Supports local PeaceJam programs.
- Hosts a one-day PeaceJam Slam conference for PeaceJam youth participants to share their Global Call to Action projects, attend workshops, and hear local speakers.
Contact your regional Affiliate office if you are interested in starting a PeaceJam Chapter in your area.
Each Affiliate represents a multi-state region (USA) or a country and consists of a college/university partner and a non-profit community partner with experience in youth programming. Affiliates are official entities of the PeaceJam Foundation and sign an Affiliate Agreement annually. Affiliates are expected to begin as Chapters and, once established, can grow into full Affiliates. A PeaceJam Affiliate is responsible for all listed for the Chapter as well as:- Sign Affiliate Agreement and pay annual $15,000 Affiliate Fee (fee reduces after 2 years).
- Host an annual 2-day PeaceJam Youth Conference with a Nobel Peace Laureate, 300 diverse youth from their region, and 40 college mentors.
- Raise a budget of approximately $120,000 in cash and in-kind.
- Provide support to PeaceJam programs across a multi-state region.
